As mentioned in Part 1, the main advantage of living in a smart home is automation, and its foundation is structured wiring, which an experienced licensed electrical contractor can expertly install. Part 2 will discuss Doors & Windows, Lighting, Safety, and Security.
Doors & Windows
Wiring for openers that operate doors and windows can be integrated with the central control system of a smart home. Windows, along with their curtains and blinds, can be automated to open and close at certain temperatures or times. Should an unexpected storm strike, a smartphone can be used remotely to close an open window. Smart sensors can be installed at entryways, such as doors or garage doors, that sound an alarm if they are left open for an extended period of time.
